Tottenham Hotspur announced on Tuesday that Fabio Paratici has returned to the role of Sporting Director with immediate effect. He will work alongside Johan Langer, who has also been promoted from Technical Director to Sporting Director.

Paratici, 53, served as Juventus's sporting director for 11 years and officially joined Tottenham in July 2021. However, he was banned for two and a half years by FIFA in March 2023 for allegedly assisting Juventus in falsifying accounts.

Paratici was forced to resign as Tottenham's sporting director after being unable to directly participate in recruitment. The appointment marks Paratici's first management role since his two-and-a-half-year ban.

Paratici said in a statement: "I am extremely happy to be returning to my beloved club. Over the past few months, I have been working with John (Langer), Vinai (Venkatesham) and Thomas (Frank) in an advisory capacity. I am now very much looking forward to returning to London and joining the team full-time."
