Premier League – Chelsea suffered a shock 0-3 defeat to Everton, with Beto contributing two goals and one assist.

In the 31st round of the 2025/26 Premier League season, Chelsea traveled to Everton for an away game. They ultimately suffered a shock 0-3 defeat to their opponents and currently sit in sixth place with a record of 13 wins, 9 draws, and 9 losses, accumulating 48 points.

Everton's record improved to 13 wins, 7 draws and 11 losses, moving them up to eighth place in the Premier League.

Early in the first half, Chelsea nearly gifted Everton a goal: in the 10th minute, Robert Sanchez hesitated too much and was dispossessed by Beto, but Moises Caicedo made a timely clearance. However, Everton still took the lead in the 33rd minute: James Garner's through ball from midfield tore through the opponent's defense, and Beto chipped the ball over the goalkeeper to score first.

Chelsea attempted to equalize before halftime and earned a corner in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, Pedro Neto's corner from the right was saved by Jordan Pickford, and Enzo Fernandez's follow-up volley was also denied by Pickford.

The second half began with both teams switching sides. In the 49th minute, Dwight McNeil took a corner from the right, and James Tarkowski's header at the far post was saved by Sanchez. In the 61st minute, Alejandro Ganacho broke down the left wing and passed back to Enzo, whose curling shot inside the box was saved by Pickford. In the 62nd minute, Everton further extended their lead: Idrissa Guey intercepted the ball in midfield and made a long run to the edge of the box before playing a through ball to Beto, whose powerful shot pierced Sanchez's legs. In the 76th minute, Beto headed the ball across from midfield, and Iliman Ndiaye broke into the box, dribbled past Caicedo, and curled a shot into the net to seal the victory.

Neither side managed to score again. At the final whistle, Everton secured a comfortable three-goal victory over Chelsea at home.
