In the 12th round of the 2025/26 Premier League season, Liverpool, playing at Anfield, conceded goals in both halves and ultimately lost 0-3 to Nottingham Forest.

Four minutes into the match, Nottingham Forest launched an attack. Murillo received the ball and fired a long-range shot from the edge of the penalty area, but it was blocked. Dominguez's subsequent long-range shot also went wide. In the 8th minute, Liverpool striker Gakpo shot under pressure but the ball was cleared. Meanwhile, McAllister's shot from inside the penalty area was blocked by an opposing player.

In the 12th minute, Liverpool attacked from a corner kick, with Van Dijk heading the ball towards goal, but it was blocked. In the 16th minute, Salah dribbled past his defender and passed the ball across the goal; Kelkez Milos came up to shoot, but the ball went over the post. In the 33rd minute, Elliott Anderson took a corner kick, and Murillo received the ball and fired a low shot into the net, giving Nottingham Forest a 1-0 lead. In the 35th minute, Konaté in the penalty area was unable to completely clear the opponent's attack, and Igor Jesus gained possession and fired a shot into the net. In the 77th minute, McAllister passed the ball across the box, and Szoboszlai received it near the edge of the penalty area before unleashing a long-range shot, but the ball was caught by Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Mats Sels.

In the 78th minute, Murillo played a long pass, and Omari Hutchinson received the ball on the right wing before entering the penalty area and shooting, but his shot was saved by Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson. Gibbs White, unmarked, then slotted a low shot into the net, extending Nottingham Forest's lead to 3-0. In the 82nd minute, McAllister received a pass from Ngumoha and fired a long-range shot, but it was cleared by an opposing player.

Subsequently, Ekitic created an attacking opportunity, and Chiesa received the ball and shot, but the ball went over the post. In stoppage time of the second half, Robertson crossed from the left, and Chiesa's header also went over the post. Two minutes later, Chiesa received a pass from Salah and shot again, but unfortunately, it was blocked by an opposing player.

Liverpool ultimately lost 0-3 at home to Nottingham Forest. After suffering their second consecutive defeat, Liverpool have dropped to 11th place in the standings with 18 points.
