Porto announced on its official website on Sunday that Torino's Ivorian forward Yann Karamoh has joined the club on a free transfer after his contract had expired.

According to Porto's official statement, Karamoh has signed on a short-term contract that will expire at the end of the season. He will also wear the number 75 jersey.

After completing his joining procedures, Karamoh, who was interview by the Portuguese Primeira Liga giants' official website for the first time, said: "I am very happy to be here. This is something I have been looking forward to for a long time."

"As everyone knows, Porto is a very great club, so I am very happy."

"I am a fighter and someone who hates to lose. I really don't like losing, and that is my trait as a player."

"Great figures in football have played here, many important coaches and players have played here. This is not only a prestigious club in Portugal, but also one of the biggest clubs in Europe. It is great to be able to represent them."

About Yann Karamoh

Karamoh, 27, was born on July 8, 1998, in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. He is 1.85 meters tall and primarily plays as a left winger, but can also play right winger or center forward. He holds dual Ivorian and French citizenship.

Karamoh, whose family immigrated to France when he was still at a young age, joined the youth academy of Racing Club de France at the age of eight. He joined Caen's youth academy in 2011 and completed his Caen first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in August 2016.

On the summer transfer window deadline day of the following year, Karamoh was loaned-out to Inter Milan. His rights were later bought out for €6 million in July 2018, but he was loaned-out to Bordeaux a month later.

In July 2019, Karamoh was loaned-out to Parma, but his rights were bought out for €8 million the following September.

During his two-year spell with I Crociati, despite reaching the Coppa Italia round of 16 for two consecutive years, Karamoh was unable to help Parma avoid relegation.

Following Parma's relegation, Karamoh was loaned-out to Fatih Karagümrük.

On the 2022 summer transfer window deadline day, Karamoh moved to Torino for €1 million. During this time, he was also loaned-out to Montpellier for six months on the 2024 winter transfer window deadline day.

During his three-and-a-half-year spell with I Granata, Karamoh made 65 appearances for the Serie A club in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing two assists. During which he has also helped the club reach the Coppa Italia quarterfinals once.
