Manchester United will face Athletic Bilbao at Old Trafford in the second leg of the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League semi-final. Amorim said his team must score to ensure their qualification for the final and that the players are ready to cope with all challenges.

In the first leg of the semi-final, Manchester United relied on Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes to break the opponent's goal and finally defeated Bilbao 3-0 away, successfully laying the foundation for advancing to the final.

Unfortunately, Manchester United lost 3-4 to Brentford in the last round of the Premier League after goals from Mount, Ganacho and Diallo. After only 2 draws and 3 losses in the last 5 rounds, Manchester United is currently ranked 15th in the Premier League standings with 39 points.

Manchester United manager Amorim said at the press conference, "Looking at our performance this season, anything can happen. He is a top player and the captain of the team, so he is an important presence."

"Players like Bruno Fernandes and Ganacho will naturally be sought after by many clubs, but our goal is to keep the best players and Bruno Fernandes is certainly one of the top players in the world. So, our position has not changed and we want Bruno Fernandes to stay here."
