In an interview with the Valencia media after the game, Anout Danjuma expressed his views on the team's defeat against Villarreal.  

Anault Danjuma said: "For me, that penalty was the turning point of the game. It changed the tempo of the game to a great extent. Although it is not an excuse, we had to adjust our tactics after the penalty, and the impact was very obvious. This result is very regrettable. We played well in the early stages, with good overall ball possession in the first half and threatening offense. But after the opponent won the penalty, the situation of the game completely changed."
