Al-Taawoun announced on their official website on Thursday that Bournemouth's French midfielder Romain Faivre has joined the club on-loan.

According to the Saudi Pro League club's official statement, Faivre will play for the club on-loan until the end of the season, with an optional buyout clause.

About Romain Faivre

Romain Faivre, 27, was born on July 14, 1998, in Asnières-sur-Seine, France. He is 1.8 meters tall and primarily plays as a right midfielder, but can also play as a left midfielder, attacking midfielder or center midfielder. He holds dual French and Algerian citizenship.

Favre played for Tour's youth academy as a child and began playing for their reserve team in the summer of 2015. Upon his contract's expiration in the summer of 2017, he joined AS Monaco's reserve team and completed his first-team debut in a Coupe de la Ligue match the following December.

In July 2020, Faivre joined Brest for €650,000, earning widespread acclaim for his impressive performances and goal-scoring prowess.

On the 2022 winter transfer window deadline day, Faivre joined Lyon for €15 million.

However, facing limited playing time, Faivre agreed to a loan move to Lorient in January of the following year.

In July 2023, Faivre joined Bournemouth for €15 million but was immediately loaned back to Lorient.

After returning from his loan in January of the following year, Faivre began playing for the Premier League club, but did not receive many chances.

In August 2024, Faivre was loaned back to Brest.

Last season, while on-loan at Brest, Faivre played 32 times for the Ligue 1 club in all competitions, scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists, and helped the club reach the Coupe de France quarterfinals.
