Valencia CF head coach Carlos Colberán held a press conference in Mestalla to discuss the match against Levante ahead of the game.
Carlos Colberlin said : " For the past two weeks, the team's full focus has been on the upcoming match against Levante. The team is always eager to improve and believes in its ability to achieve its goals. The team has players who can demonstrate their strength and a unique tactical style, and we especially hope to showcase this at the Mestalla Stadium."
“In the last match, we showed some positive signs, but the final result was not as expected. We must continue to work hard and improve ourselves, and the Mestalla Stadium will be the ideal place for us to show our fighting spirit, determination and motivation and strive to turn things around.”
“We don’t have a fixed kickoff time; we’ll arrange it flexibly based on the actual situation. We were very surprised and delighted to see the tickets sold out. The support from the fans is incredible and greatly motivates us to give our all. We care about the club, the fans, and the city, and we will show that with our performance on the pitch tomorrow.”
“I’ve always wanted the team to play at its best, and that goal has never changed. Sometimes we achieve that, and sometimes we don’t. Our objective has always been clear: to win by relying on a solid defense and a distinctive offense. Achieving this goal is sometimes easy, and sometimes it requires perseverance, so progress and development is always a continuous process.”
"When you think you've achieved something, your opponents often make adjustments or present new challenges. That's the nature of competition—continuous progress and growth. The team seemed relaxed and comfortable in possession, reminiscent of some of the highlights from last season. But every game is a new challenge, and every opponent will try to make things difficult for you, and we must also strive to put pressure on them as well."
Speaking about Mukhtar Diakhaby and Raj Ramazani, he said , " Of the four injuries we are currently treating, two involve the knee, including tendon and cartilage damage. During treatment, we must closely monitor their physical response under match and full training loads."
"The other two injuries are long-term muscle injuries, and we have developed similar rehabilitation timelines for them, which are expected to take about 10 days to two weeks. In the final stage of rehabilitation, every day is crucial and directly affects the players' return time. Currently, both players are progressing well in their recovery, but they still need a few days to be fully ready to return to the field."
"Neither Levante nor Valencia have fixed match times. When assembling the squad, we will take into account factors such as injuries, player absences, and long-distance travel, and then make corresponding adjustments to reasonably arrange playing time to ensure that all teams are on a level playing field."
“I see the whole team is eager to play, highly motivated, and looking forward to performing well in the upcoming games. We will pursue our best performance with the greatest enthusiasm and determination to get closer to our ideal results.”
