Arsenal officially announced that Danish international Christian Nørgaard, who plays for Brentford, has joined the team.

Nergaard started his career at the Danish club Lyngby and made his first-team debut at the age of 17. He then played for Hamburg in Germany for a short time before joining the Danish Super League powerhouse Brondby in 2013.

In Brondby's five seasons, Nergaard gradually grew into the core of the team and was named "Player of the Season" in 2017, helping the team win the 2017-18 Danish Cup. He made a total of 147 appearances for the team, scoring 12 goals and providing 9 assists.

In 2018, Nergaard moved to Serie A and joined Fiorentina. In the summer of 2019, he officially joined Brentford in England and became an indispensable figure in the team for six years.

During his time at Brentford, Nergaard played a total of 196 official games for the team, contributing 13 goals and 18 assists, including 122 Premier League games.

Nergaard was not only an important contributor to the team's return to the top league, but also served as captain in the 2023-24 season and set a personal record of 6 goals in a single season. In March 2025, he renewed his contract with Brentford for two years, but in the end Nergaard chose to join Arsenal.

In terms of the national team, Nergaard has been selected for the Danish national team at all levels since his youth, and made his senior team debut against England in September 2020. So far, he has played 35 times for the Danish national team and has rich experience in major competitions.
