Constantinos Mavropanos earned praise for his header that helped West Ham United draw 1-1 with Manchester City. However, he attributed the credit to all 14 players on the pitch at the London Stadium. In the 35th minute, Mavropanos's goal came from a corner kick by Jarrod Bowen, which struck the underside of the crossbar and went in, quickly equalizing for West Ham and lifting them out of the Premier League relegation zone for the first time since November.  

Ultimately, West Ham United secured a valuable point thanks to the team's collective effort, and Constantinos Mavropanos was pleased that the team was moving in the right direction. He stated, "I think the whole team performed exceptionally well because we didn't allow the opponent to create any real threats in open attacks."  

"Obviously, when we played deep defense, they still created some chances from set pieces, but I think our defensive performance was excellent. We knew it was a tough game against a strong opponent, and this point was very important for us."  

Five days after West Ham United's fifth-round penalty shootout victory over Brentford in the FA Cup, Constantinos Mavropanos scored again. This was his first goal for the club since December 2023, and his first at the London Stadium. Therefore, his excellent performance on both ends of the pitch, and his beaming smile after the match, were entirely understandable.  

He continued, "We practiced a lot of corner kicks, and this finally gave me the chance to score because I haven't scored in a long time. I'm very happy to achieve this goal in such an important game, especially at home, and this is my first goal at home. I hope to bring more joy to the fans."  

West Ham United climbed to 17th in the league table after securing a point against Manchester City. Nottingham Forest will face Fulham on Sunday. Constantinos Mavropanos stated that the team cannot afford to be complacent and must continue their efforts to escape the relegation zone.  

Constantinos Mavropanos added: "The first half of the season was very difficult for us, but we put in a tremendous effort. Now we are able to show that effort on the pitch and hope to maintain this momentum."
