In a midweek press conference, César Azpilicueta said that the schedule this week is very tight and the team is fully preparing for the upcoming match against Osasuna.  

The player stated, "Players are always eager to play and contribute to the team. But we must adjust and strive to reach our best form, which is exactly what we are doing right now. We need to adhere to the training and match plans to be in top condition for this crucial game."  

When discussing the team's defensive statistics, César Azpilicueta said: "As a defender, I certainly want to concede fewer goals. If we can reduce the number of goals conceded, it will not only benefit the team but also boost confidence. Although we are one of the highest-scoring teams, we must rebuild a solid defense to continue to improve our performance."

Speaking about the differences in the dressing room atmosphere between his time at Chelsea and the current one, Cesar Azpilicueta said: "The situation is indeed different, but daily training is key. Players must reflect on themselves, remain humble, identify areas for improvement, and show that in weekend matches. Under pressure, everyone must make decisions, which reflects the responsibility of a footballer. We crave matches and strive for victory, which is also a manifestation of leadership and team cohesion. Young players need support, but everyone must take responsibility for themselves."  

Furthermore, he anticipates strong support from the fans on Saturday. César Azpilicueta stated, "The fans are always there to cheer us on at every match; the atmosphere in the stadium is incredibly vibrant. On Saturday, we will fight side-by-side to secure three points. Although our recent form has been poor and our mindset may be a bit negative, this is a great opportunity for us to relive our victory against Barcelona and leave the stadium with everyone feeling triumphant."  

“This is a special match, and I have a deep emotional connection to it. I joined Atlético Madrid when I was 11 years old and always dreamed of playing for the first team. I was the youngest player to ever play in Europe and the youngest player to reach 100 caps. I am very grateful because I spent a very important period of my life there. When I signed with Atlético Madrid, the first thing I did was watch videos of my previous matches there because I had never played against them before. I come from Pamplona, so this match means a lot to me.”
