The Athletic's resident renowned English transfer journalist David Ornstein, exclusively reported on Monday that Chelsea has reached an agreement on the transfer of Brazil international forward João Pedro and England U21s international winger wonderkid Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

According to Ornstein's report, both players quickly reached personal terms with the Blues and are expected to fly to London in the near future to undergo their medicals and complete their signing procedures.

He said that Bynoe-Gittens' transfer fee is €55 million; João Pedro's transfer fee is an initial fee of £50 million, which does not include potential additional fees of up to £17.5 million to £20 million

Ornstein also added that despite being numerously claimed several times by our website's notoriously infamous female rumour monger "Ms. Hype Up", Liverpool never intended to compete for Bynoe-Gittens' transfer this summer, and BVB never told the Reds that they had to pay €100 million in order to sign Bynoe-Gittens. It is worth mentioning that after João Pedro joined Chelsea, the transfer fee that the Blues had paid to Brighton in recent years will reach nearly £300 million, making the Seagulls the single club in the world that has benefited the most from Chelsea in terms of revenue.

João Pedro, 23, was born on September 26, 2001 in Ribeirão Preto, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is 1.82 meters tall and primarily plays as a center forward. He can also play as a left winger. His father, Chicão, is a former professional football player, who played as a midfielder, but he was arrested and imprisoned for conspiracy to murder in 2001 and threatening public safety and order with weapons in 2011. The father and son have since severed their relationship.

João Pedro joined Fluminense's youth academy at the age of 10 and completed his Fluminense first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in a Campeonato Carioca match in March 2019.

In January of the following year, João Pedro joined Watford for £9.5 million.

During his three-year spell with the Hornets, João Pedro's form was tepid because he failed to adapt to the rhythm of English football. It was not until 2022 that he began to make significant progress.

In June 2023, João Pedro joined Brighton for £30 million.

Since becoming a member of the Seagulls, João Pedro has played 70 times for the Premier League powerhouse in all competitions so far, scoring 30 goals and providing 10 assists. During which, he has reached the quarterfinals of the FA Cup and the round of 16s of the Europa League once each with the club.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who is only 20 years old, was born in Reading, England on August 8, 2004. He is 1.75 meters tall and primarily plays as a left winger. He can also play as a right winger. He has dual citizenship of the United Kingdom and Barbados.

Bynoe-Gittens played for the youth academies of Reading, Chelsea and Manchester City when he was a child. He joined Dortmund's youth academy in the summer of 2020 and completed his Borussia Dortmund first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in the Bundesliga match against Wolfsburg in April 2022.

Since his debut, Bynoe-Gittens has played 107 times for the Bundesliga giants in all competitions so far, scoring 17 goals, providing 14 assists, and has reached the Champions League final once with the club.
