Diego López reflected on his 100th appearance in a Valencia shirt after Valencia lost 2-0 to Villarreal.  

After the game, Diego Lopez said: "Football is a physical sport. The contact was very minor and not enough to require a review. Judging the game in slow motion does not represent real football. I think our performance in the first half was quite good."  

"It was a shame that we conceded a goal in the 45th minute because we were in great form, working well as a team and creating a lot of chances. The only thing we lacked in the first half was a goal, and we were disappointed with that goal because it changed the trajectory and overall tempo of the game."  

"We wanted to take advantage of the opponent's frustration after the penalty and quickly turn the game around. However, we were a little impatient and made too many mistakes. The second goal came on a counterattack, which was a big blow to us because we played well in the first half. After that, the game got a little out of control, which was not good for us. We need to keep working hard to get out of the slump as soon as possible. I firmly believe that we can do it. We will unite and move forward together."  

"Before the game, we were very confident that we could get three points. Judging from the nature of the game and the current situation, we had the conditions to win. But the result did not go as we expected. Next, starting from tomorrow, we will fully prepare for the King's Cup. This is a game that cannot be taken lightly. For me personally, this victory is very important because it can inject confidence into the team and allow us to regain our rightful form."

When talking about playing 100 games for Valencia Football Club, he said: "I hope the result will be different. In a sense, I am still happy, if I can say so.
