Gideon Kodua joins Luton Town on loan

West Ham United officially announced that Gideon Kodua has been loaned to League One team Luton Town Football Club for one season, with an optional clause to complete a permanent transfer in the summer of 2026.
Gideon Kodua was born in Newham and joined West Ham United's youth training system at the age of 12 in 2017. After 6 years of training, he successfully graduated from the club's football academy and served as the captain of the U18 team .
In the FA Youth Cup final held at the Emirates Stadium, he scored a crucial goal to help the team defeat Arsenal and lead the team to win the 2022-23 U18 Premier League South Division Championship.
Gideon Kodua played 51 games for West Ham United U18 team, contributing 26 goals and 12 assists. He was then promoted to the development team, where he played 23 times, scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists, showing a continuous offensive threat.
In January 2024, the winger joined League One team Wycombe Wanderers on loan and returned to the Buckinghamshire club on loan again in the 2024-25 season. During the two loan periods, he played 35 games for the team and scored 3 goals.
