Kuminga rejects Warriors' 2-year, $45 million offer, preferring Kings or Suns

According to a joint report by Shams Charania and Warriors reporter Anthony Slater on Wednesday, Jonathan Kuminga has rejected the Golden State Warriors' two-year, $45 million offer. His decision was largely due to insisting on making the second year of his contract a team option while also ruling out retaining his no-trade option.
Prior to this, Kuminga's agent Aaron Turner had proposed a three-year alternative plan worth approximately $82 million. Although this plan would help the Warriors circumvent the restrictions on the second-tier luxury line, it was ultimately not adopted by the team.
Kuminga and his agent are also actively exploring the possibility of a sign-and-trade, having held talks with the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns. The highest offer they have received so far is a four-year, nearly $90 million contract with a player option.
However, the Warriors are uninterested in the trade offers from the Kings and Suns. Sources familiar with the matter say the team is currently leaning toward ending sign-and-trade negotiations entirely and plans to exercise its right of first refusal as the parent club of a restricted free agent. They insist Kuminga stay with the team next season and choose between a two-year, $45 million extension and a one-year, $7.9 million qualifying offer.
Kuminga himself is more inclined to join the Kings or Suns. In his opinion, the Kings and Suns not only provide clear role positioning and starting opportunities, but the guarantee amount offered by the Suns is nearly $70 million higher than that of the Warriors.
Regardless, Kuminga's future plans remain uncertain. Further news will be released.
