Le Bris happy with Sunderland's cohesion

Premier League newly promoted Sunderland drew 1-1 with Sevilla in an earlier pre-season friendly thanks to a goal from Enzo Lefay. Although unable to defeat their opponents, coach Le Bris said he was happy with the cohesion shown by the team.

On the other hand, Sunderland will face Sporting CP in their next pre-season friendly.

Reflecting on the performance against Sevilla, Sunderland manager Le Brice said, “The most important thing about this game is to continue to consolidate our team spirit, which is one of the core of our philosophy, and we must complete it together whether we attack or defend.”

"It was like two games. We had chances to score two or three goals in the first half and didn't succeed, but the team spirit was great. The second half was different because Sevilla played with their strongest team."

Le Bris continued, "We performed well defensively and had some good chances on the counterattack. I am very happy with the cohesion shown by the team because this is the characteristic of Sunderland."

As for the status of the lineup, LeBris said, “Chris Rigg, Triantis and Anthony Patterson are all in good condition, they are all fine.”

“We just have to make sure that the load on them is not too heavy and we have to manage the different players so there are no worrisome situations at the moment.”
