Liverpool FC has officially confirmed that it will hold a grand championship parade in the city on May 26 to celebrate the team's victory in this season's Premier League championship and witness this historic moment with the fans.
Under the leadership of coach Arne Sloter, Liverpool beat Tottenham 5-1 at home at Anfield last Sunday, locking in the league title four rounds in advance. Liverpool is now 15 points ahead of second-placed Arsenal, which cannot overtake even if it wins the remaining games.
This is the 20th top league title in Liverpool's history, making Liverpool tied with Manchester United as the team with the most league titles in English history. Councillor Liam Robinson, leader of Liverpool City Council, has formally invited the club to participate in the victory parade on May 26.
The parade route will be the same as the 2019 Champions League and 2022 League Cup and FA Cup celebrations, covering a total of about 15 kilometers and is expected to last 3 to 5 hours.
Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp also expressed his congratulations to the club through social media: "Grateful for the past, extremely happy for the present, and full of confidence in the future. Congratulations Liverpool - YNWA."
With the return of this Premier League trophy, Liverpool not only consolidated their position in English football history, but also ignited the expectations of countless fans for a new era of glory.
