Sevilla head coach Mattias Almeida appeared at the pre-match press conference to share his thoughts on the upcoming game against Alavés and explain the team's preparations.  

Matthias Almeida said: "We have high expectations for this match, and we have carefully analyzed our opponents. We are very focused in our preparations. We want to bring a moment of celebration for ourselves and for the fans of Sevilla, and we hope the match will go as planned."  

"Indeed, statistically speaking, we have the highest number of goals conceded, but this problem is not recent; it has been a persistent issue for the past few years, and we are actively seeking to improve it. At the same time, during my four years in charge, the team has been among the top scorers. Statistics can sometimes be favorable to us, and sometimes unfavorable. We are still striving for more clean sheets, which is not common before."  

“I’ve always said that unity is important. The players have taken responsibility, which means that everyone has higher expectations of us. The fans want to see a victory and hope that we can get out of this predicament as soon as possible. We are all working hard and giving our all, which gives us a lot of strength and confidence.”  

Speaking about the upcoming match against Alavés, Matthias Almeida said, "Our opponents have an excellent squad and a great coaching team. Like any final, this is just another match, but it will be very difficult. We have conducted a detailed analysis of their possible tactics and prepared multiple countermeasures."  

“Alaves has excellent players and a great coaching staff. This game is just another final, essentially no different from any other final. I watched the game footage three times in the past few days and found that they only created one scoring opportunity in the first half, even though the game as a whole was considered disastrous. I have to analyze the game in detail before I can explain the situation to the players.”  

“I discussed with the players how to maintain consistency, strengthen the defense, control the tempo of the game, create attacking opportunities, and score from set pieces. I also conducted an in-depth analysis of current and historical data, but the ultimate goal remained clear: to ensure the team stays in the league and continue to improve from there.”
