French Ligue 1 powerhouse AS Monaco has officially announced the dismissal of head coach Adi Hütter.

The 55-year-old Austrian coach has led the team to the top three in Ligue 1 for two consecutive seasons and successfully returned to the Champions League since taking office in July 2023. However, with the unstable performance at the start of the 2025-26 season, the club decided to end the cooperation between the two parties early.

During Hütter's tenure, Monaco achieved significant progress. The team finished second and third in Ligue 1, securing direct entry into the Champions League group stage. Last season, Monaco returned to the Champions League after a long absence, reaching the playoffs against Benfica. However, after the start of the new season, the team only managed one point in the first two rounds of the Champions League group stage.

Monaco lost to Club Brugge in the Champions League group stage before drawing with Manchester City. In the domestic league, Monaco had only four wins, two losses, and one draw in the first seven rounds, with only one win in the last five games in all competitions. This decline in performance became the fuse.

In a statement, Monaco thanked Hütter and his team for their work, saying: "The club would like to thank Adi and his coaching staff for their work and dedication during their tenure and wishes them all the best for the future."

Monaco currently sits fifth in Ligue 1 with 13 points, three behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain. They will face Angers away on October 18 before hosting Tottenham on October 22 to continue their Champions League campaign.
