Napoli officially announced on Thursday that Noah Long has joined from PSV Eindhoven. The two sides signed a five-year contract, valid until June 30, 2030.
According to multiple media reports, the initial transfer price is 25 million euros, and with floating bonuses, it can reach up to 28 million euros. PSV will also retain 10% of the secondary transfer share.
It is also reported that Noah Long's annual salary in Naples is 2.8 million euros after tax. He is the third major signing of Naples this summer after Kevin De Bruyne and Luca Marianucci.
The 26-year-old Noah Long mainly plays as a left winger, but can also play as a right winger, central midfielder, shadow striker, attacking midfielder, etc. He transferred from Feyenoord to Ajax youth training at the age of 14, and made his professional debut on behalf of the first team in the Dutch Cup on September 26, 2018.
Due to limited playing opportunities, Noah Long joined Bruges on a lease-to-buy basis in October 2020. He played for Bruges for three seasons, contributing 38 goals and 34 assists in 125 games in all lines, and won 2 Belgian First Division titles and 2 Belgian Super Cup titles with the team.
In July 2023, Noah Long returned to Feyenoord for 12.5 million euros. To date, he has made 63 appearances for Feyenoord, scored 19 goals and provided 14 assists, and won the Eredivisie championship and the Dutch Super Cup with the team.
As for the national team, Noah Long made his debut for the Netherlands in August 2021 and has played 14 times so far, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists. He also played for the Netherlands in the 2022 Qatar World Cup, but lost to Argentina in the quarter-finals.
