Noah Penda from France was selected with the 32nd pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and the small forward said in an interview that he is ready to step onto the NBA court and contribute to the Orlando Magic.
Noah Penda, 20, joined Le Mans Sarthe Basketball Club in June 2024 and averaged 10.5 points and 5.3 rebounds in 30 games, with a shooting percentage of 44.7%, which was an outstanding performance.
Noah Penda said, "I think I am ready to step onto the NBA court because I can defend multiple positions and rarely make mistakes on offense. I think I will continue to improve, especially in the high-intensity training environment in the United States, I will become more comprehensive."
"I think this trust is the reward for my long-term hard work, and it really makes me feel the team's confidence and expectations of me. I am very happy to be in such a position and shoulder people's trust in my future."
Orlando Magic coach Jamal Mosley said of Noah Penda, "From observing his playing style, physicality, basketball knowledge to his ability to defend multiple positions and his ability to switch, these are the qualities we value very much at this time."
In addition, Orlando Magic President Jeff Weltman said, "Noah Penda is a very special player with comprehensive skills. He is an excellent ball handler and passer, as well as an excellent defender. When we first saw him in Europe, he caught our attention, and we have been keeping a close eye on him since that moment."
