Official: Robin Fellhauer, captain of Eversburg, officially joins Augsburg on a 4-year contract

Augsburg announced on Saturday that Robin Verhauer, captain of the Eindhoven team, has officially joined the club. The two sides have signed a four-year contract, which will be valid until June 30, 2029.
Fellhauer's contract with Augsburg was originally scheduled to end in 2027, and Augsburg paid a transfer fee of about 700,000 euros. According to official news, he will wear the No. 19 jersey in Augsburg.
Regarding the joining of Verhauer, Augsburg CEO Michael Strörer explained: "Robin perfectly fits our recruitment requirements. He is very hardworking, has excellent confrontation ability, is highly adaptable tactically, and has also shown a good level on the offensive end. We are very happy that Augsburg can sign one of the best players in the Bundesliga last season."
The 27-year-old Verhauer mainly plays as a right back, but can also play as a defensive midfielder and central defender. He came from the Freiburg youth training and joined Eversberg as a free agent in September 2019.
To date, Verhauer has made 178 appearances for Eversborg, including 54 2. Bundesliga games and 5 German Cup games. He has scored 7 goals and 37 assists, helping Eversborg to rise from Deding to the 2. Bundesliga.
After completing the transfer, Verhauer said: "My primary goal has always been to play in the Bundesliga. It means a lot to me to be able to realize this dream by joining Augsburg. The club is very determined to sign me. I look forward to taking on new challenges in this traditional Bundesliga powerhouse. I will go all out on the field and do my best to help the team succeed."
