The fifth round of the 2025/26 FA Cup saw another key match, with Manchester City, playing at St. James' Park, coming back from a goal down to defeat Newcastle 3-1 thanks to goals from Savio and Malmush.
Two minutes into the match, Manchester City gained possession and launched an attack. Reindes received the ball and entered the penalty area, but his shot went wide of the post. In the 9th minute, Newcastle winger Anthony Elanga received the ball and took a long-range shot, but the angle was too straight and the ball was easily caught by Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford.

Manchester City ultimately defeated Newcastle United 3-1 away from home, successfully advancing to the quarterfinals.
