In the first leg of the 2025/26 Coppa Italia semi-final, Inter Milan traveled to Como to face the opposition. After 90 minutes of intense play, the match ended in a 0-0 draw, leaving the outcome to be decided in the second leg at the San Siro.
Inter Milan and Como exchanged attacks early on, but few chances to score. In the 10th minute, Maximo Perone delivered a lobbed pass from the left side of the penalty area, but Nico Paz's shot went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Jan Aurel Biseck nearly gifted a goal with a clearance error in his own half, but Carlos Augusto made a timely recovery to block Merjim Vojvoda's shot. Immediately afterwards, Josep Martinez decisively rushed out to deny Vojvoda a one-on-one opportunity, and the linesman subsequently raised his flag for offside.
In the 36th minute, Paz unleashed a sudden long-range shot from outside the penalty area, testing Martinez once again, but the latter made a valiant save. In the 42nd minute, Paz delivered a diagonal pass in the attacking third, and Vojvoda's curling shot from the right side of the penalty area went just wide.
Just one minute into the second half, Matteo Darmian's cross-shot hit the right post and bounced out, allowing Como to escape unscathed. In the 49th minute, Ivan Smolcic delivered a cross from the right wing, but Alex Vale, rushing in at the near post, missed a golden opportunity to score.
Neither side managed to score again, and the deadlock remained unbroken. The match ended in a 0-0 draw between Inter Milan and Como.
