Despite Rob Edwards' dissatisfaction with the team's overall performance, he still praised the players' fighting spirit. In their away game against Nottingham Forest, Wolves gave their all and ultimately added a point to their Premier League tally.  

Throughout the match, Wolves had a total of 35 shots on goal against Nottingham Forest, but thanks to their tenacious defense and an outstanding performance from goalkeeper Jose Sá, they managed to keep a clean sheet. The team could have had a chance to score the winning goal in the final moments if Matthäus Mané had converted his stoppage-time finish. While there is still room for improvement in their overall performance, the manager expressed satisfaction with the players' fighting spirit and resilience, leaving the City Stadium with this affirmation.  

Rob Edwards said: "After that game, my hair turned a bit grayer and I had a few more wrinkles around my eyes. The pressure was immense. The team didn't play well in the first half, and we had to adjust our rhythm to adapt to the game. There were some unpleasant comments on the field, but I think the team's reaction was quite appropriate."  

“We played better in the second half, but the rhythm of the game was controlled by our opponents. They put pressure on us, and we had to focus on counter-attacking. Nevertheless, we almost won. Frankly, I don’t think the result fully reflects our performance, but the team showed a strong character, fighting spirit and tenacity. However, there is still room for improvement in the quality of the game.”  

“We’ve had better performances this season, but we’ve still had our share of losses. I have to commend Nottingham Forest for their intensity; they really put a lot of pressure on us. We failed to build up our attacking options, and our performance at Tolu Stadium in the first half was less than satisfactory. The second half didn’t improve much, but he laid the foundation for the team when he came on, and I think his performance deserves recognition. However, we struggled to control the tempo or the game, so we could only try to maintain order off the ball.”  

“I wanted to show more intensity and fighting spirit in the game. They played too easily in the first half and dominated the game on several occasions. Nottingham Forest failed to capitalize on a six-on-one opportunity, which was one of the most frustrating moments for me at halftime. We know that this cannot happen again.”  

Rob Edwards continued: “We still have many goals to strive for. We are fighting for our future, for the club, and for ourselves and our families. There may be exaggerated claims from the outside world, saying that we are going to be relegated or something, but our focus is on continuous improvement and getting the club back on track. The place a club deserves is not something we are born with; we must earn it back through hard work.”  

“We realize we made some mistakes and have honestly acknowledged these problems. Now, we are working hard to change the situation. Outsiders may think that things have fallen apart and the team has given up, but that's not the case. The players are still fighting, and we have proven that with our actions.”  

"It is indeed a challenge, but if the coaching staff and personnel choose to give up, there will be excuses everywhere. Therefore, we must maintain our best condition every day, full of enthusiasm and belief, and the players can also draw motivation from it. We are all working towards a common goal."  

"We're playing in the Premier League now, and the whole world is watching our performance, so it's very important to get our young players at their best. It's not just about the individual, it's about the team. Whatever motivates you, you have to give it your all. To be honest, many young players are still unsure about their future, and there could be changes in the summer. They have to fight hard for their goals."
