The Oklahoma City Thunder officially signed a two-way contract with 23-year-old shooting guard Brooks Barnheiser, and Brooks Barnheiser said the Oklahoma City Thunder is a place where he can grow and play to his strengths.

Brooks Barnheiser, who previously played for the Northwestern Wildcats men’s basketball team, was selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2025 NBA Draft.

According to the data, Brooks Barnheiser only played in 17 games due to injuries during his time at Northwestern University in the 2024/25 season. He averaged 36.9 minutes per game, contributing 17.1 points, 8.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists.

When talking about the Oklahoma City Thunder, Brooks Barnheiser said, "They have a lot of precedents of players like me being successful. After they select players in the draft, they will do their best to develop them. This is what they see in me."

"I haven't played for a while and I'm really eager to get back on the court. Every time I have the opportunity to participate in training, I will try my best to compete, and this is really a place where I can do my best."

On the other hand, the Oklahoma City Thunder will participate in the NBA Summer League, which is also an opportunity for different new players to train and adapt.
