Valencia announced on its official website on Wednesday that the club has renewed the contract of its Spanish center forward Alberto Marí and have loaned him out to Mirandés.
According to Valencia's official statement, Marí has signed on a new short-term two-year deal which will only run until the summer of 2027. Mirandés' loan agreement does not include a buyout clause.
About Alberto Marí
Marí, 24, was born on July 11, 2001, in Alicante, Valencian Community, Spain. He is 1.83 meters tall and plays as a center forward.
Marí played for the youth academy of his hometown club, Alicante when he was youth academy, as well as the youth academies of Hercules and Real Valladolid. He joined Eibar's youth academy in 2018 but was later released.
After leaving Eibar, Marí joined non-league club Vitoria and completed his Vitoria first-team debut in October 2020.
In July of the following year, Marí joined Valencia on a free transfer.
For the first two years, he played exclusively for its B team. It wasn't until April 2023 that Marí made his first-team debut for the La Liga club, by coming on as a substitute.
At the end of August 2024, Marí was loaned-out to Real Zaragoza.
Last season, Marí made 29 appearances for the Spanish Segunda División club in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
