Rock-bottom Wolverhampton Wanderers sacked head coach Vitor Pereira following three-month of winless start to the season..

Wolverhampton Wanderers announced on their official website on Sunday that its Portuguese head coach Vitor Pereira has been sacked.

According to Wolverhampton Wanderers' official statement, Pereira played a crucial role in helping the club avoid relegation since taking over last December, but with the team struggling to secure a single win this season, the management felt it was time to make this difficult decision.

With this change in the coaching staff, all eight members of Pereira's assistant coaching team will also be sacked effective immediately.

Until a new permanent head coach is confirmed, U21s team head coach James Collins and U18s team head coach Richard Walker will temporarily take over as first-team managers.
