Valencia announced on its official website on Friday that the club has renewed the contract of its Portuguese attacking midfielder André Almeida.
According to Valencia's official statement, Almeida has signed on a long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029.
After completing his contract extension procedures, Almeida, who was interviewed by the Valencia official website again, said, "I'm calm. I know my abilities and value. I can provide a lot of help to the team, and I know the coach has great confidence in me."
"I feel very important to my teammates, and I have no doubt that I can be a great help to the team. I'm a team player. I hope to improve offensively and work hard to get Valencia back on track."
About André Almeida
Almeida, 25, was born on May 30, 2000, in Guimarães, Portugal. He stands 1.72 meters tall and primarily plays as an attacking midfielder, but can also play as a center forward.
Almeida joined the youth academy of his hometown club, Vitória Guimarães, at the age of nine. He began playing for their B team in August 2016 and completed his Vitória Guimarães first-team debut in August 2019.
In August 2022, Almeida joined Valencia for €7.5 million.
Since becoming a member of Los che, Almeida has made 96 appearances for the La Liga club in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing 10 assists.
