With the international break over, Liverpool will travel to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City in the 2025/26 FA Cup quarter-finals. Manager Sloot stated in a press conference that he hopes the team can be in better form given the busy schedule and challenges.

Besides the FA Cup, Liverpool will next face defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-finals at the Parc des Princes. Currently, Liverpool sits in 5th place in the Premier League table with 49 points, continuing their pursuit of Champions League qualification.

But whether it's the FA Cup or the Champions League, we've faced some of the toughest opponents. But when you reach the quarterfinals, you know you're bound to encounter these kinds of teams sooner or later. It's exciting for us, but I think it's equally challenging for them to play against Liverpool."

"As we know, we faced Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League Round of 16 last season, and now we meet in the quarterfinals. Both games were very exciting. I watched both games, and I preferred the one at Anfield, even though we won in Paris but lost at Anfield."

Sloth emphasized, "However, we are very much looking forward to these matches. This season we have shown many times that we can be a very good team. Of course, there have also been a few times when we have been a bit weak. We must once again unleash the best form we have shown many times this season. This is especially important in the next few weeks because we want to continue to advance in both cup competitions and at the same time secure Champions League qualification for next season."
