Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure has officially announced that he will leave the club when his contract expires this summer, ending his five-year career at Goodison Park.

The Mali international joined the Toffees in September 2020 and played 167 games for the club in five years, scoring 21 goals. Among all the goals, the most memorable one is the winning goal against Bournemouth in May 2023-that shot not only helped the team win the key three points, but also directly ensured that Everton's Premier League seat would not be shaken.

In a video posted on social media, Doucoure bid farewell to the fans: "Hello Everton fans. I want to tell you that I will leave the club at the end of this season. After five wonderful years, my journey at Everton is coming to an end."

"Everton means a lot to me. It's been a difficult five years but it's been a dream to play for this club."

"While I am sad to be leaving, I feel this is the right time for me and the club to start a new chapter. I will always be grateful for everything the club has done for me."
