In a post-match interview, Amorim said the team showed great fighting spirit in the second half and praised Mount as a very hard-working and excellent player.

In the 25th minute, Casemiro intercepted the ball and launched an attack. Cunha received the ball, dribbled past the defender, and passed it to Bruno Fernandes. Bruno Fernandes slipped while trying to receive the pass, but he immediately got up and slid in to score, giving Manchester United a 1-0 lead.

In first-half stoppage time, Müller-Wolf assisted Bellagade to score, leveling the score at 1-1 for Wolves. In the 51st minute of the second half, Dalot received a long pass from Cunha and then crossed it into the penalty area, where Mbomo tapped the ball into the empty net, putting Manchester United ahead 2-1 against Wolves again.

In the 62nd minute, Bruno Fernandes chipped a pass into the penalty area, and Mount volleyed it into the net, giving Manchester United a 3-1 lead over Wolves. In the 82nd minute, Manchester United launched an attack from a corner kick, and Diallo's volley struck Wolves defender Yerson Mosquera's hand, earning Manchester United a penalty. Bruno Fernandes then converted the penalty.

Manchester United ultimately defeated Wolves 4-1 away from home.

Manchester United manager Morin said, "I think the team played well for most of the time. After conceding the first goal, we were briefly out of sync, which hurt us. But in the second half, everyone could feel that we were playing to win, and that felt great."

"The team showed great fighting spirit in the second half, but we have to focus on how we conceded goals when we had complete control of the game. We came very close to scoring a second goal to seal the victory, but I am still satisfied with our response in the second half."

When discussing Mount's performance, Amorim said, "It's not just about his goals, but more about the way he plays, including how he participates in attack and defense, and how he understands his own technical characteristics. He doesn't need to touch the ball too much; he's a very good and hardworking player. But he also understands that sometimes he needs to start from the bench."

Regarding the attacking pairings, Amorim said, "They have the ability to constantly switch positions, especially when you have a player like Cunha. He covers a wider range of movement than a typical number 9, so we took advantage of that."
