Fiorentina announced on their official website on Wednesday that Bologna's Italy U23s international attacking midfielder Giovanni Fabbian has joined the club on-loan.
According to Fiorentina's official statement, Fabian will play for the club on-loan until the end of the season, with a conditional buy-out clause included in the loan agreement. He will also wear the number 80 jersey.
If Fiorentina avoids relegation, the €15.5 million buy-out clause will be automatically triggered.
About Giovanni Fabbian
The 23-year-old Fabbian was born on January 14, 2003, in Camposampiero, Italy. He is 1.90 meters tall and primarily plays as an attacking midfielder, but can also play as a center midfielder or defensive midfielder.
Fabbian joined the youth academy of his hometown club Padova, at the age of seven. In 2018, he joined Inter Milan's youth academy, and after being promoted to the first-team in 2022, he was immediately loaned-out to Reggina.
The following August, Fabian moved to Bologna for €5 million.
Since becoming a member of I Veltri, Fabbian has made 91 appearances for the Serie A dark horse in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 3 assists. During which he has helped the club surprisingly win the Coppa Italia once.
