Brighton announced on its official website on Thursday that the club has signed Greece U21s international forward wonderkid Charalampos Kostoulas from Olympiakos.
According to Brighton's official statement, Kostoulas has signed on a long-term five-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030. He will officially become a member of the Seagulls after July 1.
In addition, according to the news brought by Sky Sports' renowned Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Brighton paid a total of €35 million euros in transfer fees to Olympiakos to sign Kostoulas, not including bonus and add-ons clause of €2 million.
He also reiterated that, just as he had slammed our website's notoriously infamous female rumour monger "Ms. Plan To" last December, Manchester United never intended to sign Kostoulas, so all her lies about the Red Devils "having an advantage" in his transfer battle are all nonsense!
About Charalampos Kostoulas
Kostoulas, who is only 18 years old, was born on May 30, 2007 in Athens, the capital of Greece. He is 1.85 meters tall and primarily plays as a center forward. He can also play as an attacking midfielder. His father Athanasios and his elder brother Konstantinos are both Greece international center backs.
Kostoulas followed his brother and father's footsteps and joined the Olympiakos youth academy since he was a child. He began to play for its B team in January 2023 and completed his Olympiakos first-team debut in August of the following year. At the age of 17, he broke the record and became the youngest player in the club's history.
As soon as he debuted, Kostoulas was quickly selected as one of the best wonderkids in European football by the British newspaper The Guardian for his outstanding performances.
During his time at Olympiakos, Kostoulas played 35 times for the club in all competitions, scored 7 goals, assisted 2 times, and helped the club complete the Greek Super League and Greek Cup Double.
