Paris Saint-Germain cruised to a 5-0 victory over 10-man Rennes on matchday 15 of the 2025/26 Ligue 1 season at the Parc des Princes on Saturday.

In the first half, Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring with a powerful shot, followed by a volley which turned into a goal by Mayulu. In the second half, Kvaratskhelia scored again, while Jacquet was sent off for a malicious foul on Ramos. Later, Mbaye netted a stunning long-range strike, and Ramos added another from a long shot. Ultimately, PSG secured a resounding 5-0 victory over 10-man Rennes. Following this round, Les Parisiens, returning to winning ways after their previous defeat to Monaco, sits second on the table with 33 points; Les Rouge et Noir, whose five-game unbeaten run was ended, sits sixth with 24 points.

First Half

Just 20 seconds into the game, Rennes launched a quick counter-attack. João Neves made a clearance error in his own back half, allowing Przemysław Frankowski to intercept the ball and unleash a right-footed half-volley from the edge of the penalty area, but his shot went just slightly over the crossbar, and Rennes almost took a lightning-fast lead!

In the 9th minute, Neves passes horizontally from the left wing. Vitinha quickly followed up, got the ball and took a few steps before taking a right-footed long shot from outside the penalty area, but his shot went just slightly wide of the bottom left corner of the post.

In the 28th minute, Frankowski headed the ball down, Estéban Lepaul quickly quickly followed up, got the ball and took a few steps before taking a right-footed long shot from the edge of the penalty area, but his shot was saved by Matvey Safonov.

Shortly after, Lucas Hernández made a straight pass from near the midfield center circle. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia quickly followed up, got the ball, dribbled and cuts into the center of the box before unleashing a powerful right-footed shot that flew into the bottom left corner of the net, giving Paris Saint-Germain a 1-0 lead!

In the 33rd minute, Rennes won a corner opportunity. Mousa Al-Taamari took the corner by taking a short corner. After taking over, Djaoui Cissé received it and passes back horizontally from the byline at the right side of the box. Valentin Rongier quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, took a right-footed long shot from the edge of the penalty area, but his shot was saved by Safonov.

6 minutes later, Neves cuts the ball back from the byline at right side of the box. Senny Mayulu quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, volleyed the ball into the bottom left corner of the net with his right foot from the right side of the box, extending Paris Saint-Germain's lead to 2-0!

In the first minute of first-half stoppage time, Barcola passes horizontally from the right wing. Lee Kang-in quickly followed up, got the ball and took a few steps before volleying with his left foot from the center of the box, but his shot went just slightly wide of the top left corner of the post.

At halftime, Paris Saint-Germain temporarily go into the break leading Rennes by 2-0.

Second Half

Both teams switched sides as the match continued. In the 65th minute, Kvaratskhelia cuts the ball back from the left side of the box. Ousmane Dembélé quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, unleash a powerful left-footed shot from the center of the box, but his shot was saved by Brice Samba.

2 minutes later, Paris Saint-Germain launched a deadly counter-attack. Samba made a clearance error in his own penalty area, after Mayulu received a pass from Barcola, he cuts the ball back to Kvaratskhelia, who quickly followed up and volleyed the ball into the high from the center of the net with his right foot from the center of the box, scoring his second goal in the match and extending Paris Saint-Germain's lead to 3-0! This is the Georgia international forward's sixth goal in all competitions of the season!

In the 73rd minute, Gonçalo Ramos was fouled from behind by Jérémy Jacquet after intercepting the ball. The referee immediately blew his whistle and issued a red card to Jacquet, forcing Rennes to finish the game with 10-man!

In the 88th minute, Quentin Ndjantou passes horizontally from the attacking third. Ibrahim Mbaye got the ball and took a few steps and took a right-footed long shot from outside the penalty area. His shot flew straight into the top right corner of the net, turning it into a wonder-strike and leaving Samba helpless. Paris Saint-Germain further extended their lead to 4-0! This is the 17-year-old Senegal international winger wonderkid's first goal!

In the first minute of stoppage time, Dembélé made a through straight pass from near the midfield center circle. Gonçalo Ramos quickly followed up, got the ball and took a few steps before taking a left-footed long shot from outside the penalty area which flew straight into the bottom right corner of the net, sealing a 5-0 victory for Paris Saint-Germain! The Portugal international center forward finally broke his nearly month-long goal drought!

When the final whistle is blown, Paris Saint-Germain crush 10-man Rennes with a 5-0 win.
