Trent Alexander-Arnold has officially joined Real Madrid , having been received in person by club president Florentino Perez in the boardroom at the Real Madrid training ground. The player has signed a six-year contract with the club.  

Accompanied by Emilio Butragueno, the club's director of institutional relations, Alexander-Arnold was interviewed by the media in the press room of Real Madrid City. He said: "Today is a very meaningful day in my career. I have been looking forward to this for a long time. I am very proud to have realized this dream. Of course, the challenges in the future are still ahead, and I am ready to start training and playing immediately."  

"Although I said the wait was long, it was actually only a few weeks. I am really excited to be here. Whether you are a Real Madrid fan or not, you cannot deny the glorious history and achievements of this club. I have always admired this team and its players."

Alexander-Arnold said that he has been a Liverpool fan since he was a child, and working with this former idol is of great significance to him. He said: "I have had several exchanges with the head coach, and this communication is very valuable. He has always been a role model for me and has a profound influence on my playing style. His professional attitude and performance set a very high standard and also inspired me to keep improving."
