Bournemouth Football Club has confirmed the signing of Moroccan international Amin Adli from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. The winger has agreed a five-year deal and is expected to be registered with Andoni Iraola's squad before this weekend's match against Wolves.
He played a key role in Leverkusen's brilliant 2023-24 season, with Xabi Alonso's team sweeping the Bundesliga and German Cup unbeaten and winning both titles.
Amin Adli played 29 games across both competitions last season, scoring nine goals and earning the DFB-Pokal top scorer award for his outstanding performance. The 25-year-old also has Champions League experience, having reached last season's Europa League final with Bayer Leverkusen, where he finished runner-up. The winger, who was named Ligue 1 Player of the Season while at Toulouse, first demonstrated his impressive potential during the 2020-21 season.
After the signing, Bournemouth's president of football operations, Thiago Pinto, said in an interview: "We are very happy to bring such a strong player to Bournemouth. Amin Adli is an experienced winner who will be a valuable asset to our team. He is at the peak of his career and I am very happy to bring him to the club."
“He is a player with top-level experience and his ambitions are highly aligned with our vision. I very much look forward to working with him to achieve our shared goals.”
Amin Adderley said: "I am very proud to join a club with such history and strength as Bournemouth. When weighing my future development, I think Bournemouth is the best place for me."
“The people around me have given me great support and confidence, and I am also impressed by the facilities here. The club has a warm atmosphere and I am honored to represent Bournemouth. I hope to give a good performance.”
