Toulouse officially announced the signing of Argentine center Santiago Hidalgo on a four-year contract

Toulouse released a statement on Thursday confirming the official signing of Argentine striker Santiago Hidalgo. The two sides signed a four-year contract until June 30, 2029.
Santiago Hidalgo joined from Independiente in Argentina. According to local media reports, the transfer was finalized for €2.5 million, with Independiente also retaining a 30% share of the player's secondary transfer commission.
There are also reports that Hidalgo will wear the No. 11 jersey at Toulouse.
The 20-year-old Hidalgo came from the youth training of Independiente and made his debut for the first team in the Argentine Primera División on July 16, 2022. To date, he has played 45 times for Independiente, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists.
After the transfer was completed, Toulouse sporting director Victor Bezani said: "Santiago Hidalgo is an attacker with great potential and is very exciting. His skills, fighting spirit and personality are all his advantages and will make him an important member of our team."
Hidalgo added: "I am very happy to join Toulouse and I am very grateful to the club for giving me this valuable opportunity to continue to grow. Leaving Argentina is a big challenge for me, but I believe I am ready for it."
