Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé has won the 2024–25 European Golden Shoe award in recognition of his outstanding performance last season in La Liga, where he scored 31 goals.

The awards ceremony was held in the Presidential Box at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, with guests including Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez, head coach Xabi Alonso, first-team players, and representatives from European sports media.

After a highlight reel of Mbappe's goals from last season was played during the awards ceremony, Mbappe said, "Winning the Golden Boot means a lot to me; it's the first time I've ever won this honor."

"Thank you to all my teammates, they made me the best version of myself. We are an incredible team, and I hope to win more championships this year, because team honors are the most important thing."

Mbappe also expressed his gratitude to the club: "Playing for Real Madrid is a dream come true. Since I joined, the Madrid fans have given me tremendous support from day one."
