Girona announced on their official website on Tuesday that Barcelona's Germany international goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen and Celta Vigo's Spanish defensive midfielder Fran Beltrán have joined the club on-loan and permanent transfers, respectively.

According to Girona's official statement, ter Stegen will play for the club on-loan until the end of the season, with no option to buy; meanwhile Beltrán has signed on a long-term four-and-a-half-year deal with club which runs until the summer of 2030.

Furthermore, according to Spanish online media outlet Relevo's resident renowned Italian transfer journalist Matteo Moretto, Beltrán's release clause is set at €35 million according to La Liga regulations.

He also said, ter Stegen agreed to join Girona on-loan to maintain his hopes of being selected for Germany's World Cup squad this summer after recovering from injury.

Marc-André ter Stegen, 33, born on April 30, 1992, in Mönchengladbach, Germany, is 33 years old, 1.87 meters tall, and plays as a goalkeeper.

About Fran Beltrán

The 26-year-old Fran Beltrán was born on February 3, 1999, in Madrid, Spain. He is 1.65 meters tall and plays as a defensive midfielder.

Beltrán joined Getafe's youth academy at the age of eight. In 2013, he moved to Rayo Vallecano's youth academy, started playing for their B team in December 2015, before completing his Rayo Vallecano first-team debut the following August.

During his two-year spell with Rayito, Beltrán won one Spanish Segunda División title with the club.

In August 2018, Beltrán moved to Celta Vigo for €8 million.

During his seven-and-a-half-year spell with O Celtiña, Beltrán has made 263 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 8 goals and providing 4 assists.
