The 2025/26 FA Cup will enter its fifth round, with Liverpool traveling to Molineux to face Wolves again. Sloot stated that every trophy they can compete for is important, and Champions League qualification is a major objective.

In an earlier Premier League match, Liverpool came from behind to equalize with a goal from Salah, but then conceded another goal in the final moments, ultimately losing 1-2 away to Wolves.

Liverpool manager Sloot said in a press conference, "It's certainly worrying when the team loses, especially when it happens in similar ways. However, we don't always concede goals in the same way in the final moments. Sometimes it's from set pieces, and in this game and against Fulham it was from long-range shots outside the box. These aren't really giving the opponent any real chances. So the team always tries to avoid giving the opponent real chances, and overall we've done a pretty good job in that regard. But unfortunately, this time we still conceded two goals."

“Of course we wanted to win, I think that’s normal. If you were Liverpool playing away against Wolves, and you’ve just tied the game 1-1, you’d definitely want to win. But that doesn’t mean we put Van Dijk or Konaté up front. We continued to play with our original formation. In the past, we sometimes substituted attacking players for defenders, but we haven’t done that in the last few games before conceding a goal.”

With Liverpool currently 6th in the Premier League table, trailing leaders Arsenal by a massive 19 points, the "Reds" have only the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League left to compete for this season.

Sloot stated, "We always believe that every game is very important, and every title we can compete for is also very important. Last season we tried to win four titles, and this season is no different. But now two of them are no longer possible, namely the Premier League and the League Cup. So for the remaining two competitions, as long as we are still in them, we will do our best to win them, which has always been the goal of this club."

"Qualifying for the Champions League is also very important to us, everyone knows that. But that's not something to decide tomorrow. What we need to decide tomorrow is our FA Cup qualification, and that's a very important match for us."

Regarding the choice of lineup, Slott said, "We do have some options, but as everyone knows, we can't have 11 completely different lineups. However, there is definitely some room for adjustment. I always have players who can come on as substitutes, and players who can come off the bench can also start."
