After goals from Dzekeresh and Rice, Arsenal defeated Burnley 2-0 in a key match of the 10th round of the 2025/26 Premier League season. Arsenal midfielder Rice stated that the team's unity and cohesion were key to their victory.

In the 14th minute, Rice took a corner kick, Gabriel headed the ball across, and then Dzekeresh headed it in from close range, giving Arsenal a 1-0 lead.

In the 35th minute, Trossard received the ball and crossed it from the left wing, and Rice headed it into the net, helping Arsenal extend their lead to 2-0.

Arsenal ultimately defeated newly promoted Burnley 2-0 away from home. After securing their fifth consecutive victory, Arsenal currently sit atop the league table with 25 points, six points ahead of second-placed Manchester City.

Rice, who secured the victory for Arsenal, said, "I'm very focused, both on and off the pitch. I know the importance of winning every week. I understand where we are right now and what we can achieve as a club. So, on and off the pitch, I'm doing everything I can to prepare myself and the team to win."

“We’ve always had one goal: to give everything for the fans and for each other, and we’ll keep doing that. We played very well in the first half and could have scored three or four goals. However, the second half wasn’t our best performance, but it showed another side of the game. We can defend tenaciously and desperately, preventing the opponent from putting the ball in our goal, which means a lot to us.”

Rice pointed out, "We have unity and cohesion, and we don't want to concede goals, which, like our attacking threat, is key to our victory. The game was very different in the first and second halves, but ultimately, the three points are the most important."

Speaking about his goal in the match, Rice said, "It was a very special goal because the whole attack was very complete. Maybe my run and my header will be the focus, but our goal started with a throw-in in the penalty area. Gabriel headed the ball out like he was going all out, and then we started the counter-attack. The whole team reacted in that instant."

“When the opponent retreats deep and presses low, these are our best scoring opportunities because they suddenly expose space. We seized that opportunity and scored with a header from a traditional number 9, so I’m very happy.”
