Aston Villa Football Club has announced that goalkeeper Marco Bizot has joined the club from Brest. Marco Bizot played for Brest for four years and played for the club in the UEFA Champions League last season. The fee for this transfer was not disclosed.  

Marco Bizot came through the famous Ajax youth system and played for Belgian clubs Groningen and Genk. The goalkeeper, who has played for the Netherlands national team, spent four seasons with AZ Alkmaar before moving to France.  

Marco Bizot has expressed his pride and joy at joining Aston Villa after completing his move from Brest. In his first interview with the club's media, the goalkeeper reflected on the process that led to his decision.  

Marco Bizot said: "It feels very special to be here. I am impressed by the professionalism shown by the club and the effort of every member. I am very proud and happy to be a part of the team."  

"Aston Villa is an outstanding club and a major force in Europe. It has always been my dream to pursue excellence, and the communication between us in the past few weeks has shown an extremely high level of professionalism, which made me make the decision to join without hesitation."  

The 34-year-old goalkeeper has played in the top leagues of the Netherlands, Belgium and France. He has a rich professional resume and will add valuable experience to Aston Villa's goalkeeping position.  

Marco Bizot is ready to contribute to the team in the new season. The club also hopes to continue to make progress based on the results achieved in recent years.  

He added: “It is not easy to inject new energy into such a high-level club, but I believe that each player has his own strengths and value.”
