Brentford announced on their official website on Friday that the club have extended the contract of its Brazilian center forward Igor Thiago.
According to Brentford's official statement, Thiago has signed on a new long-term five-year deal with club which runs until the summer of 2031, with an option to extend for a further year.
After completing his contract extension, Thiago, who was interviewed by the Brentford official website again, said: "I love this club and the people here. It's true love, love from the bottom of my heart."

About Igor Thiago
The 24-year-old Thiago was born on June 26, 2001, in Gama, the Federal District of Brazil. He is 1.88 meters tall, plays as a center forward, and holds dual Brazilian and Bulgarian citizenship.
Thiago played for Cruzeiro's youth academy as a child and completed his Cruzeiro first-team debut in January 2020.
In March 2022, Thiago joined Ludogorets Razgrad for €1 million.
During his two years at Ludogorets, Thiago won two Bulgarian First Division titles, one Bulgarian Cup, and one Bulgarian Super Cup.
The following summer, Thiago joined Club Brugge for €7.9 million.
During his time there, he won one Jupiler Pro League title and became one of the top scorers in the 2022/23 UEFA Conference League season.
In July 2024, Thiago joined Brentford for a club-record transfer fee of £30 million.
This season, Thiago has made 27 appearances for the Premier League club in all competitions so far, scoring 18 goals and providing 1 assist, making him the second-highest scorer in the Premier League after Manchester City's Erling Håland.
