Brighton announced on its official website on Thursday that the club has extended the contract of its Canada international goalkeeper Tom McGill.
According to Brighton's official statement, McGill has signed on a short-term two-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2027.
About Tom McGill
Tom McGill, 25, was born on March 28, 2000 in Ontario, Canada. He is 1.85 meters tall and plays as a goalkeeper. He has dual Canadian and British nationality.
McGill joined Brighton's youth academy at the age of 14 and was promoted to the first-team in 2018, but has not completed first-team debut for the Premier League club yet.
Between July 2018 and June of the following year, McGill was loaned to amateur league clubs Worthing, Greenwichborough and Basingstoke Town.
In January 2020, McGill was loaned-out to Crawley Town for a year and a half.
In July 2024, McGill was loaned-out to Milton Keynes Dons.
This season, McGill played 25 times for the EFL League Two club in all competitions, conceded 37 goals and kept three clean sheets.
