Al-Nassr officially announced on its official website on Thursday that the club has extended the contract of its captain, legendary Portugal international forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to Al-Nassr's official statement, Ronaldo has signed on a new short-term two-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2027.

With this contract extension, all rumours claiming that Ronaldo will return to Sporting CP as a free agent have been quashed.

Ronaldo, 40, was born on February 5, 1985 in Funchal, Madeira Autonomous Region, Portugal. He is 1.87 meters tall and primarily plays as a center forward. He can also play as a left winger or a right winger. His son is currently a Portugal U18s international forward who is also playing for Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo played for Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus in his younger years, and has won many Premier League, English League Cup, La Liga, Copa Del Rey, Supercopa de España, Serie A, Supercoppa Italiana, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup titles with the clubs.

In the summer of 2021, Ronaldo returned to Manchester United, but was fired for badmouthing the club in January 2023.

Soon after, Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr as a free agent, becoming the biggest and highest-paid player in the history of the Saudi Pro League.

Since becoming a member of Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has played 105 times for the Saudi Pro League giants across all competitions, scoring 95 times and providing 19 assists, and won the Arab Club Champions Cup once with the club.
