Fabrizio Romano slammed his colleague Kaveh Solhekol once again for contradicting others by insisting that Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi would reject Liverpool and stay at the club..

Sky Sportsrenowned Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, had once again slammeed his colleague, Kaveh Solhekol, on Thursday through his official paid column for contradicting others by insisting that Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi would reject Liverpool and stay at the club this season.

In his column, Romano angrily criticized Solhekol's deliberate attempt to contradict every Liverpool related transfer rumour. He also expressed his disbelief at Solhekol's persistent denials of three-way talks between the Reds, Crystal Palace, and Guehi had happened, which had been confirmed by nearly every major British media outlet.

He cited BBC transfer journalist Sami Mokbel, who first reported the rumours about Liverpool's interest in Guehi, as saying that Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish had stated that rather than seeing Guehi, whose contract expires next summer and who has confirmed his intention not to renew, leave on a free transfer, he would be open to selling him this summer.

Furthermore, Guehi has already communicated to Liverpool through his agent that he has accepted the personal terms offered by the Reds. This suggests that Solhekol's denial of the incident is a self-righteous delusion of superiority.

Romano reiterated that Liverpool had been considering the possibility of Guehi's transfer since June, but had previously focused on signing Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Hugo Ekitike, Will Wright, and Alexander Isak, which is why they hadn't pursued the transfer specifically.

Now that all targets, excluding Isak, have been signed, the Reds are fully focused on recruiting center-backs, which is why they quickly completed the transfer of Parma wonderkid Giovanni Leoni and reinitiated their plans for Gueye.

Finally, Romano added that, while it's undeniable that Liverpool has yet to reach an agreement with Crystal Palace on a transfer fee for Marc Guehi, this doesn't mean the Reds have given up completely, nor does it mean the player has decided to reject Liverpool's offer and stay.

It simply means that the captain, who just completed the FA Cup and Community Shield double with Crystal Palace, won't force a transfer, but will calmly observe how things develop before the summer transfer window closes.

In fact, when I saw the Sky Sports YouTube video this morning showing Solhekol defiantly contradicting others, I already anticipated another rebuke from Romano.

It's worth noting that Romano isn't the first transfer journalist to criticize Solhekol. David Ornstein of The Athletic already refuted Solhekol on Wednesday via his company's official podcast!

This also marks the second time this summer, following the news about Wirtz, that Solhekol has been slammed by Romano for contradicting others in reporting on transfer rumours involving the reigning Premier League champions.

The most outrageous thing is that someone, knowing what Solhekol advocated for, actually dared to upload the video to this website! Why are there so many rumour mongers on this website?!
