Genoa Football Club officially announced that it has completed the contract extension with head coach Patrick Vieira, and the contract has been extended to June 30, 2027.  

CEO Andrés Brazquez said: "We are very happy and proud to continue to work with Patrick Vieira. We hope to continue to improve in terms of stability and continuity. In the past few months, everything that Patrick Vieira has instilled in the team fully demonstrates the spirit of Genoa."  

Genoa head coach Patrick Vieira said: "It has been a challenging and intense period since I took over as coach of Genoa last November. But we have successfully achieved our goal of avoiding relegation and finished the season with the pride and determination that the club deserves."  

“I am proud of what we have achieved together. After the last game against Bologna, we have been in constant communication with the club and the management, comprehensively reviewing the season performance and starting to fully prepare for the new season.”  

"I am very happy in Genoa and in this city, and the renewal is a natural thing for both parties. We quickly reached a consensus and completed the relevant formal procedures. Now is the time to enjoy the holiday, but we will continue to work hard behind the scenes to prepare for the new season."  

Sporting director Marco Ottolini said: "We are very pleased to renew Patrick Vieira's contract. This decision is a natural continuation of our joint efforts and recent achievements. We share the same vision and objectives and remain unwavering in our commitment to the development of Genoa."
