Juventus announced on its official website on Monday that the club has renewed the contract of its Italy international defender Daniele Rugani.
According to Juventus' official statement, Rugani has signed on a new three-year contract which runs until the summer of 2028.
About Daniele Rugani
Rugani, 31, was born on July 29, 1994, in Lucca, Italy. He is 1.9 meters tall and plays as a center back.
Rugani joined Empoli's youth academy at the age of six and joined Juventus in 2012 for €150,000.
In August of the following year, Rugani returned to Empoli on-loan for two seasons.
During his loan spell with Empoli, Rugani led the club to promotion back to Serie A and subsequently helped the club avoid relegation.
After returning from his loan spell in the summer of 2015, Rugani established himself as a key defender for Juventus with his outstanding performances, during which he has also been loaned-out to Rennes and Cagliari.
Last summer, Rugani was loaned-out to Ajax.
Since becoming a member of I Bianconeri, Rugani has so far made 152 appearances for Juventus in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing one assist. During which he has won five Serie A titles, four Coppa Italia titles, two Supercoppa Italiana titles, and reached the Champions League final once with the club.
