The 28-year-old player is capable of playing on both sides and has accumulated nearly 150 appearances in the Premier League. His joining is expected to inject more depth and competitiveness into Graham Potter's lineup.
Kyle Walker-Peters will wear the No.2 shirt and said he is looking forward to training with his new teammates in pre-season and getting the chance to wear the iconic red and blue shirt for the first time.
He said: "I am very excited and it seems like I have been waiting for a long time. I have been linked with this club for a long time and now it has finally happened. I am really happy.
"I have had in-depth discussions with Graham Potter, who played a key role in my decision to join. I have always admired his coaching philosophy and I think it fits my style very well. This is exactly the direction I want to go and I believe I can fit in well with West Ham United."
"I always play with great enthusiasm and try to do my best in every game. Here, I hope to achieve some important results. Every team is eager to compete for honors, and West Ham United also has ambitious goals."
“From my interactions with Graham Potter, I felt he was committed to building a special team and I was eager to be a part of it.”
Graham Potter has always spoken highly of Kyle Walker-Peters' on-pitch performances and values his time working with him.
Graham Potter said: "We are delighted that Kyle Walker-Peters has chosen to join the team. He has always been a player I admire very much and I can see his outstanding performance every time I play against him."
"He has an outstanding background and is a high-level professional who has already earned wide respect in the Premier League, with his best years still to come."
"He will provide an excellent competitive edge to the team and will also enrich the dressing room with his positive personality. I am looking forward to working with Kyle Walker-Peters and have no doubt that he will make an important contribution to the club."
Kyle Walker-Peters was born in Edmonton, north of London, in April 1997. He joined the Tottenham Hotspur youth training system when he was a student. In 2017, he won the FIFA U20 World Cup with the England U20 national team and made his debut in the Premier League.
After participating in the UEFA Champions League in the 2018-19 season, Kyle Walker-Peters joined Southampton on loan in January 2020 and completed a permanent transfer in the summer of that year. Since then, he has firmly occupied the Saints' starting position in the following five seasons.
Kyle Walker-Peters plays as a full-back and can also play on the other flank when needed. He has played over 200 games for Southampton and helped the team win promotion to the Premier League through the Championship play-offs in 2024.
"We warmly welcome Kyle Walker-Peters and his family to West Ham United and wish him every success at West Ham United," said the club's chairman, Kyle Walker-Peters.
